After talking about buying an Inn for more than 10 years, we finally started our search in 2009. We looked at available Inns from the central California coast to the San Juan Islands above Washington State. Although there were many beautiful choices, none of the properties compared to the Black Bear Inn. We were immediately wowed by the grand entrance and gathering room and quickly fell in love with the Inn.
We met Gary Paris of Century 21 Sierra Properties and his wife, Suzanne on our first visit to tour the property. They were friendly, welcoming and extremely professional. Gary quickly won our trust and we knew that he could get us to the finish line of this very long and tedious process. Gary's communication was excellent! He returned calls quickly and consistently kept us updated throughout the process.
After four months and mountains of paperwork, we moved in and began operations. Business in the first year was better than expected - occupancy and revenue improved month after month and our 2011 reservations started to fill up at a good pace. We are on track to have an even better year and couldn't be happier about the success.
The best result of this story is that we found true life-long friends in Gary and Suzanne. They continue to help spread the word about the Inn, attend our functions, and do whatever they can to support our business.
